"We advertised in newspapers, but my marriage was celebrated in just two months after we registered with Kalyanamalai. "For me, this is the second marriage. We belong to Reddiar community. The first marriage was with a groom of our own community. But I was not happy even for three months. So, we got divorced. My parents were very upset over my fate. At the same time, they got worried that I should get remarried as I would need some one to take care of me after their life time. With my consent they started their efforts by seeking the help of our family friends. We advertised in newspapers also. But there was no response. The varans were not suitable for the response we got. My parents were wondering if they would be able to fix my marriage or not.
"Adjustment is a must for a happy life. When I was married for the first time, I didn’t know the world. After my divorce, in these seven years, I’ve understood the world thoroughly. One of my father’s closest friends told him about Kalyanamalai and encouraged him to register with it. We registered on 28 august 2007. My second husband Jagdeesh registered in September. His parents contacted my parents. The marriage was finalized and was celebrated on 29 October, 2007. The life is smooth and peaceful now. Both of us are postgraduates. His job requires frequent touring. Many people thought that I would never get married again. But I was very firm that I should live a happy married life before their eyes. Now, it has happened."
Though my parents looked for a groom of our own community, they couldn’t find one. We all liked Jagdeesh. He belongs to Vellala Pillai community. His native place is Suseendram. But he is employed in Chennai. The marriage was conducted in Suseendram temple. We lead a happy married life now. Our happiness is our parents' happiness."
"My parents–in-law is very nice people. My mother-in-law likes me a lot. She asked me to adjust with her son. I’ve got a lot of respect for her. We live in Velacheri while they are in Suseendram. I thank Kalyaanamalai very much," Mahalakshmi concluded.
